CHILD SAFETY AND MINORS POLICY
Effective date: 18 June 2026
AcademyLauncher is a platform used by independent Creators to provide educational and community services. This Policy establishes minimum requirements for protecting minors and supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use and Content Guidelines.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
A person must be at least 18 years old to open or control a Creator, business or paid platform account. Users aged 13 through 17 may use eligible learner features only with permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian and when allowed by the relevant Creator and applicable law. Children under 13 may not register for or independently use the Platform.
Local law may define a child differently or require verifiable parental consent for everyone under 18. Where stricter law applies, that stricter requirement controls.
CREATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
A Creator offering content or services likely to be accessed by minors must:
Clearly identify the intended age range;
Obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent when required;
Provide an age-appropriate privacy notice and terms;
Collect only data reasonably necessary to provide the service;
Use appropriate access controls and moderation;
Avoid one-to-one interactions that create unreasonable safeguarding risk;
Provide a clear method for parents to contact the Creator; and
Comply with education, advertising, consumer, privacy and child-safety law applicable to the Creator and learners.
AcademyLauncher provides technology and does not replace a Creator's safeguarding, supervision or legal duties.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT
The following are strictly prohibited:
Child sexual abuse material or sexualized depictions of minors;
Grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion or attempts to move a minor into unsafe private communications;
Requests for intimate images or unnecessary sensitive information;
Trafficking, exploitation, coercion or facilitation of abuse;
Bullying, targeted harassment, credible threats or encouragement of self-harm;
Age-inappropriate sexual services or content;
Publishing a minor's precise location, school schedule, private contact details or other information that creates a safety risk; and
Any conduct that violates applicable child-protection law.
Apparent educational, documentary or artistic purpose does not permit illegal material.
DATA RELATING TO CHILDREN
Where AcademyLauncher processes children's data on behalf of a Creator, the Creator is responsible for establishing a lawful basis and obtaining required parental consent. AcademyLauncher may request evidence of consent or restrict a feature where necessary.
We do not knowingly use children's personal data for targeted advertising, behavioral monitoring or tracking where prohibited by law. Data relating to minors should not be retained longer than necessary for the educational service, legal obligations and legitimate safety purposes.
Parents or guardians may request access, correction or deletion of a child's personal information by contacting the relevant Creator. Requests concerning an AcademyLauncher account or Platform-controlled processing may be sent to support@academylauncher.com. We may verify identity, guardianship and the requester's authority.
COMMUNITIES, CHAT AND LIVE SESSIONS
Creators serving minors should use trained moderators, reasonable adult supervision, clear conduct rules and reporting tools. Private messaging should be disabled or limited where risk warrants. Sessions should not be recorded or shared without appropriate notice and permission. Adults must keep communications professional, necessary and appropriate to the educational context.
MARKETING TO MINORS
Creators must not exploit a child's inexperience, use manipulative pressure, misrepresent outcomes, encourage unauthorized purchases or target minors with prohibited advertising. Material purchase and subscription terms should be communicated to the parent or responsible adult where required.
REPORTING SAFETY CONCERNS
If a child may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate child-protection authority first. Platform concerns may be reported to support@academylauncher.com with the relevant academy, account, URL and a concise description. Do not download, copy or forward suspected illegal child-abuse material; preserve only lawful identifying information needed to report its location.
ENFORCEMENT AND REPORTING TO AUTHORITIES
AcademyLauncher may immediately remove content, restrict communications, suspend accounts, preserve records or terminate access when child safety is at risk. We may report apparent exploitation, abuse or illegal material to competent authorities or designated reporting organizations as required or permitted by law. We may act without prior notice where delay could increase risk.
PARENTAL SUPERVISION
Parents and guardians should review the Creator's identity, content, privacy practices, payment terms and communication features; supervise the minor's participation; teach the minor not to share passwords or sensitive information; and report concerning behavior promptly.
