The points log provides an audit trail of awarded points. Use it to confirm that rules trigger correctly, investigate unexpected totals, and identify the activity behind each award.
Go to Dashboard → Gamification.
Select Points log.
The summary shows Total Points. Each log entry includes an ID, date, point criteria, points, user, and the action required to achieve the points.
Use the user search field to find a learner.
Use Point Criterias to filter by an earning rule.
Use Sort by to change the order of results when another option is available.
Compare the entry’s points and action with the matching point rule.
Confirm the learner and event date.
Identify whether the award came from an automatic trigger such as login or from a manual action.
Open the matching point rule and review its frequency, user limit, global limit, and date range.
Check for another active rule using the same or a closely related trigger.
Test the action with a non-production learner before changing a live rule.
Review the log after creating or editing a rule.
Investigate sudden spikes before offering rewards based on the affected totals.
Record the reason for manual awards in your operating process.
